AMT Futures Limited is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Amalgamated Metal Corporation PLC, a British industrial metals conglomerate with offices in the UK, Europe, South Africa, Canada, India, Thailand, China, Singapore, Hong Kong, Australia and New Zealand.
AMTF originally started trading under the corporate name AMT (Futures) Ltd in August 1989, but our own and our parent company’s history dates back much further.

Our Timeline.
1930s - Commodity Exchange
In the 1930s G W Joynson & Company Limited became a member of the UK’s leading commodity exchanges.
1989 - AMC Group Acquisition
GW Joynson was renamed AMT (Futures) Limited upon its acquisition by AMC Group, and commenced operations on 1st October 1989.
2024 – AMT Futures Ltd launches the amtf. brand
AMTF.co.uk launched and institutional, corporate and professional client coverage initiated.
1890 - AMTF Origins
AMT Futures previously G W Joynson & Company Limited, a UK-regulated brokerage firm established in 1890 as a Cotton broker.
1950s - Exchange Reopening
Maintained its member status at the reopening of the London Commodity Exchange.
2021 - OptionsDesk
AMTF launches the OptionsDesk brand, acting as an agency cash equity, equity derivative and futures and options brokerage for retail clients wanting direct contact with industry specialists.
